First City Membership Hold Policy

First City does not believe that athletes should have to pay for a membership if they are unable to use it. First City athletes can put their membership on hold starting any time for any period in which they are unable to use their membership for more than 4 days. The hold does not have to start or end on a billing date.

The hold policy is not for athletes to receive a refund retroactively if there is a period where they simply chose not to come in to workout.

To place your membership on hold, send an email to firstcitysf@gmail.com with the date that you would like the hold to start. If you know when you would like the hold to end include this date as well. If no end date is provided, the end date will be set to 6 months from the start date. If you wish to extend your hold beyond 6 months, you will need to contact First City during the 6 months that the membership is on hold to update the end date.

First City requests that athletes let us know about hold at least 3 days in advance of the start date of the hold. First City will do their best to email the athlete back confirming that the hold has been added prior to the start date. If the athlete does not receive a confirmation email back, they should send a follow-up email.

If the hold is added prior to the billing for the hold period, the bill prior to the hold will be pro-rated. If the hold is added for a period that is during a month that the athlete has already been billed for, the follow-on bill will be pro-rated. If you have any questions about how your bill has been pro-rated, please email firstcitysf@gmail.com.
